Data Warehouse Technical Lead

About the role

Stratos is looking for a Data Warehouse Technical Lead that is interested in helping Life Science clients define and execute against their organizational data strategy. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with clients on projects who are excited for growing their data footprint, as well as leading and mentoring Stratos team members in support of implementing data warehouse and data integration solutions.

What you’ll be doing as part of the Stratos Team:

  • Participate in workshops with client teams to gather business requirements, design the technical solution, gather feedback on development progress, drive change management, test the solution, and deploy the solution
  • Design and develop strategic data warehouse solutions in support of Life Science organizations reporting needs (e.g., Financial, Commercial, Clinical Data Warehouses)
  • Analyze complex data sets from disparate sources and design process for seamlessly combining the data in an efficient and organized manner
  • Facilitate the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions
  • Assess database implementation procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Create project related documents and deliverables and/or provide input and feedback as needed
  • As a member of the Project Team, complete assigned project deliverables to ensure the project stays on track
  • Actively participate in client meetings throughout the project to provide technical expertise (e.g., requirements gathering, technical design, user testing)
  • Manage and provide guidance to the developers on the project
  • Assist in creating solution demos and project proposals in support of new business opportunities
  • Contribute to various internal company initiatives

About you and what type of skills you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role; experience in life sciences industry preferred
  • Experience implementing at least one of the following database technologies in support of a Data Warehouse – Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, SQL Server, BigQuery, Teradata
  • Experience designing and developing data ETL processes using one of the following technologies – Informatica, Mulesoft, Boomi, Talend
  • Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries
  • Experience implementing analytical solutions using data warehouses is a plus (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud)
  • Familiarity with Master Data Management processes
  • Familiarity with a variety of data sets – financials, sales, marketing, clinical
  • Excellent organizational skills and analytical abilities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively represent Stratos Consulting in client interactions, either independently or as part of the project team
  • Located in the Greater Boston area or willing to relocate to the Greater Boston area
